Singer / Songwriter / Voiceovers
Tutti Druyan, Shaqed Druyan, and Edmar Colón, are coming together to create “Kantika.” “Kantika,” which means “song” in Ladino (Judeo-Spanish), is a musical EP that combines portions of traditional Ladino songs (in Ladino) with new original tunes (written in English). Tutti and Shaqed’s maternal grandfather, Nissim, escaped to Israel from Bulgaria as a little boy during WWII. His ancestors, Sephardic Jews, settled in Bulgaria after being expelled from Spain due to the Alhambra Decree of 1492. For many generations, the family kept its traditions and spoke in Ladino, which is where the passion for “Kantika” is derived.
